Attendance

Report absences or tardies as early as possible to the attendance line at 303-982-5400. If you are aware that your child will be out for a block of time, one call, with the dates of absence, is sufficient.

If you know in advance that your child will be out of school for more than two days for reasons other than health, please fill out a pre-arranged absence form and return it to the office. We will then review your child's attendance and check with teachers to learn the impact of the absence. He will then communicate with you the school's recommendation for the absence.

The importance of regular, daily school attendance as a basis for academic achievement cannot be overemphasized. Attendance is a shared responsibility of the student, the families and the school.

It is the family’s responsibility to ensure their student attends school and to notify the school when their student is absent for a legitimate reason, such as an illness or family emergency. Each family should also ensure their student’s school has their correct contact information so that the school is able to communicate about any attendance issues that may arise.
